This week, we’re excited to spotlight Lucy Coria, Kleb’s very own enrollment wizard and registrar extraordinaire! New to Kleb but already an essential part of our family, Lucy brings her incredible energy and warmth from her time at Grace England PK Center, where she wore many hats—from instructional para to front office secretary.

Lucy is a proud mom with one son at Kleb and two at Middlestadt, and if you love travel baseball, you’ve probably seen her cheering them on at the field. A former runner who now enjoys a good walk, Lucy’s journey reminds us that sometimes the path leads to unexpected—and wonderful—places.

Originally dreaming of being a teacher, Lucy fell in love with the brains behind the organization and found her perfect role supporting our school’s heartbeat through enrollment. We’re so lucky to have her magic keeping everything running smoothly!

Say hello to Lucy next time you stop by—she’s the friendly face making enrollment seamless for all of us! ⚾✨📚

This week’s Staff Spotlight shines on Edith Lunceford—an incredible force supporting our emergent bilingual students! Even though she’s new to education, she’s already rocking it like a pro. You never have to wonder where Edith is—she’s there when you need her, and even when you don’t (because she’s just that awesome). Why did Edith choose this path? Because she gets it—growing up in a Spanish-speaking home and being in ESL herself, she knows exactly what our students need. She loves being right at the heart of their learning journey! Before joining us, Edith was a stay-at-home mom, and now she’s making waves in education. We couldn’t be happier to have her on board. And here’s a fun twist: Edith has a twin sister who now works at Kleb too!

Our 8th-grade science classes have been exploring the fascinating relationship between mass and force by studying Newton's second law. Students are actively experimenting and discovering how force equals mass times acceleration. Stay tuned for another exciting activity on this topic coming soon — we can't wait to share more science fun! 🚀🔬 #ScienceInAction #8thGradeScience #LearningIsFun #AllInForExcellence

This week’s Staff Spotlight shines on Jennifer Flaherty!

Coach Flaherty’s career journey is as dynamic as her energy—she’s taught 4th, 5th, and 1st grades, served as a math specialist, and finally landed her dream role in PE. Now, she’s inspiring junior high students as a PE teacher and coaching volleyball and basketball with unstoppable enthusiasm.

She’s also a proud mom to three daughters, including Sawyer who’s part of the Kleb family. All three girls are following Jennifer’s footsteps in various sports, making it a true family tradition.

Fun Facts: Jennifer babysat Ms. Hardin’s children while she was in college! She has broken each arm twice but still plays volleyball in a league, proving her passion and resilience. When she’s not on the court or in the gym, she loves soaking up the sun, pool, and beach vibes with her family. Her dedication, spirit, and sunny personality make her a true gem in our school community! 🌞🏐🏀💪

This week's staff shoutout goes to Mr. Talmage! Mr. Talmage has truly gone above and beyond this year, creating engaging hands-on science experiences and supporting his team with dedication and passion. A Texas A&M graduate in Wildlife and Fisheries Science, he began his career surveying endangered species in California’s Sierra Nevada. Teaching is his second career—after 18 years managing education programs at the Houston Museum of Natural Science and 5 years as Director of Education at the Lone Star Flight Museum. Now in his second year teaching science at Kleb, he and his wife are on an exciting mission to visit every Texas State Park and run a Half Marathon in all 50 states! We’re lucky to have such an inspiring educator on our team!

Say hello to Kelsy Young! Ms. Young is this week's staff spotlight! This year she’s guiding our 8th-grade ELA students, but her 12 years in education have taken her through nearly every subject and grade level — from 6th and 7th-grade ELA to World Cultures, Texas History, and even 6th-grade Science. Outside the classroom, Ms. Young's creativity really shines. She loves diving into a game of Dungeons and Dragons, getting cozy with crochet projects (she’s currently working on a star blanket!), and making one-of-a-kind paper crafts to personalize letters for her pen pal. Whether it’s art, storytelling, or teaching, Ms. Young pours imagination into everything she does, and we’re excited to see the inspiration she brings to her students this year.

This week’s Staff Spotlight shines on Stephen Nelson, one of our amazing 6th-grade math teachers! With experience teaching 7th and 8th grade, Mr. Nelson is dedicated to making math come alive by introducing engaging hands-on activities that help students truly understand the concepts.
